Tai Mahmuti, PE

A civil engineering graduate of Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, Tai is a Professional Engineer licensed in NY, NJ and CT and leads project teams in research, design development, detail drawing, report preparation, and construction administration. His experience in building science and performance offers valuable perspective for the evaluation and rehabilitation of exterior envelope conditions and design of new facade systems. A partner at Hoffmann with direct reports, Tai is one of the firm’s young leaders in the New York City office.

Active in the professional community, Tai is a member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI), American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI). He served as Vice President of the Metro New York Chapter of the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) for 2023 and is President of the organization for 2024.

Outside work, Tai’s interests span from economics and North American politics to golf and basketball.
