Hoffmann Architects + Engineers is pleased to announce that Inderpal Singh has been promoted to Project Coordinator in recognition of his technical skills, initiative, and engineering acumen.

Inderpal Singh earned a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering degree from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, one of the oldest engineering institutions of India’s northern region and among the most highly ranked private institutions in the country. After completing his bachelor’s degree, Singh moved to the United States to pursue his engineering career. He began working at a construction company in Brooklyn, New York, that specializes in masonry and stone construction/restoration, as well as framing, roofing, and Exterior Insultation and Finish Systems (EIFS). During his five-year tenure with the company, Singh earned multiple promotions for his advancing skillset and responsibility, advancing from Site Supervisor to Project Manager.

While working at his first job out of college, Singh earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering degree with a concentration in structural engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology Newark College of Engineering. Despite working full-time and commuting one-and-a-half hours to NJIT in the evening, Inderpal graduated with the highest academic distinction of summa cum laude. Although he spent more than a year not returning home before midnight four worknights a week, Singh effectively balanced his job and his graduate studies, demonstrating his admirable dedication and strong work ethic.

In June 2023, Singh joined Hoffmann Architects + Engineers as Senior Project Representative. Since then, he has made notable contributions to multiple projects in New York City, including Local Law 126 / Periodic Inspection of Parking Structures (PIPS) initial inspection at 1133 Avenue of the Americas, facade replacement and Facade Inspection and Safety Program (FISP) repairs at 489 Fifth Avenue, FISP investigation for the LearningSpring School at Gramercy Park, and the New York City Department of Transportation investigation for tunnels and a bridge at Columbia University’s Morningside Campus. For these projects, Singh was responsible for writing PIPS and FISP compliance reports, performing calculations, reviewing third-party analyses, performing field work, preparing construction drawings, reviewing shop drawings, and participating in review of contractor bidding.

A Registered EIT in New York, Singh holds certification from the International Code Council (ICC) and the City of New York as a Structural Masonry Special Inspector, in addition to OSHA 30-hour certification in construction and safety. He is an Associate Member of the Structural Engineers Association of New York (SEAoNY) and is a member of Hoffmann’s Emerging Professionals Group. In addition to English, Inderpal is fluent in Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu.

Hoffmann Architects + Engineers recognizes Inderpal Singh for his contributions, as well as his exceptional dependability, diligence, and precisely crafted work products. We look forward to his continued success at Hoffmann.
