While earning an architecture degree from Syracuse University, Melissa interned at prestigious New York design firms, developing skills in design development, drawing, document preparation, bidding assistance, and contract administration. She studied architecture in Florence, Italy and participated in service, outreach, and leadership programs that helped shape the architecture program at her alma matter. She brings experience building collaborative client relationships to her role in supporting building enclosure projects with the firm’s New York City office.

Beyond her project work, Melissa serves as Safety Coordinator for the New York office and is a member of the Hoffmann Emerging Professionals Group, Technical Training Committee, and Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Certified by the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) as a Construction Documents Technologist (CDT), she is also a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and AIA New York Women in Architecture Committee (WIA). As a student, Melissa participated in the ACE Mentor Program and earned a college scholarship, so she recently began volunteering with as an ACE Mentor to pay it forward and inspire high school students to pursue careers in the architecture industry.

Outside the office, Melissa enjoys running and has competed in 5k, 10k, and half-marathon races. She also is an avid skiier and loves to cook and bake.
