Avi A. Kamrat
President, Administration
From business development to information technology, human resources to finance, the entire administrative arm of Hoffmann’s operations falls under Avi’s domain. As the firm’s Chief Financial Officer and risk manager, Avi is responsible for overseeing resource allocation and contract administration to maintain budget and scheduling objectives. Avi challenges his team to innovate processes and systems that deliver more efficient, customized services. By encouraging the administrative and finance staff to bring fresh ideas, he sees that Hoffmann’s practice anticipates evolving technologies and changing client needs.
A people-centered leader, he builds close relationships that empower independence and creative problem-solving. Through his efforts, Hoffmann’s benefit packages, company culture initiatives, and inter-office collaboration rival those of larger firms, while the systems infrastructure and financial models he has developed enable the company to run as sophisticated an operation as one many times its size. Still, Avi always prefers to pick up the phone or, better, meet up in person to connect with clients and colleagues alike.
As president in charge of administration, Avi applies his degrees in philosophy and psychology from Brandeis University to a multidimensional business management practice.
Outside the office, Avi serves on community committees in his hometown of Hamden, Connecticut and has served on the boards for local non-profits with a focus on education, wellness, and the arts. Most recently, he served as a founding member on the board of Best Video Film and Cultural Center, securing the future of one of the last video libraries in the country as a nonprofit. Avi loves to grow vegetables and volunteers many hours at a community garden that grows food to donate to soup kitchens and local food pantries. With a daily practice in martial arts, Avi is a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and is studying Hapkido, as well.
