Hoffmann Architects Promotes Richard Off to Senior Staff Architect
January 2019 – Hoffmann Architects, an architecture and engineering firm specializing in the rehabilitation of building exteriors, is pleased to announce the promotion of Richard W. Off, AIA.
Richard W. Off, AIA has been recognized with a promotion to Senior Staff Architect, for his knowledge, technical capabilities, and valued contributions to the restoration of historic buildings. After joining Hoffmann Architects in 2016 as Project Representative, Off rapidly earned promotions to Senior Project Representative, Project Coordinator, and Staff Architect. Experienced in investigation, design, and construction administration, Off brings to his work a sensitivity to the concerns of historic buildings and urban settings. His projects include exterior rehabilitation of Countee Cullen Library in Harlem, historic facade restoration and roof replacement at First Presbyterian Church in Greenwich Village, and copper roof replacement at the State University of New York at Farmingdale Lupton Hall. A member of the Association for Preservation Technology International (APT) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Off earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a master’s degree in architecture and urban design from Columbia University. He lives in Washington Heights in Manhattan.
