| Hoffmann Architects' JOURNAL is a technical publication written
and published by the firm for building owners, facility managers, and
other building professionals. Each issue addresses a specific aspect of
building envelope rehabilitation, from the latest in roofing technologies
to the restoration of historic limestone and marble.
Shown at right is the front page of our most recent issue, "Care and
Preservation of Slate Roofs.” In it, Deborah J. Costantini, AIA and
Benjamin J. Robinson, Assoc. AIA review the basics of slate stewardship
and present criteria for repair or replacement decisions. The authors
also consider new product innovations, including synthetic stone and
photovoltaic cells, as well as techniques for historic preservation. |
